We drove from Scunthorpe because my partner wanted a ‘cheese and onion patty’ similar to what she’s had in Carlisle and this place was great, the owners were kind and friendly and he cooked one for her fresh when we arrived, I tried some too and it was lovely Other than that, everything I had was delicious - had your basic sausage, chips and peas but all very tasty and a lot less greasy than I’ve had from the majority of fish and chip places. Wasn’t too heavy on the stomach and it didn’t set my eczema off anything crazy which says something, it was very fair price for all the stuff we had and again very fresh, place was easy to find with ample street parking available.

excellent food, all of it and generous portions too. For instance come here and get twice as much fish for only half the price of other local ones - no kidding ! The staff are always freindly and helpful. I've lived in this area nearly all my life and can sincerely say in 60 years this is the best the fish shop has ever been.
